Graduation

Well, I've made it.  Today is potentially my last graduation ever!  It only took 3 years of pre-school, 13 years of K-12 and 4 and half years of college....but I'm done.  After finals (which will be a breeze) I never have to set foot in another classroom for a lecture or test again unless I get even crazier and go back to grad school.  It's been quite a journey, but I'm definitely glad it's done for at least a while.  I know I'll miss it when it's gone, but as of right now I couldn't be happier about it.  I'm sure there will be some more profound things to come as I start reflecting on this marathon of education, but as of right now I'm out!

Laptop

I don't really have anything to talk about at the moment.  However, I'm writing because I'm excited about the fact that I'm using my new laptop at school with their wireless internet, and it's awesome.  It's so nice to sit in a comfy chair and use the computer while all the other vultures have to wait for someone to get up to check their e-mail! In other news, Stirling and I went to an apple orchard yesterday, it was fun   We picked a couple different kinds of apples so I can make pie and we also picked a bunch of really tasty raspberries, gotta love it.  Hope all is well with everyone else!

Back at it

Yeah, so I'm not the best at keeping this updated here...but I guess there isn't that much interesting going on.  School has started up again and this will be my last semester.  I'm quite excited to be done, and my classes really aren't too bad.  My favorite part is definitely the fact that I have Yoga twice a week!  I don't know that I really buy into the whole thing, but it is definitely nice to have a couple hours a week to actually relax and not think about anything.  Work is still work, most of the time it's not too bad unless I get stupid customers.  Ok, so I started writing and now I don't really feel like it anymore, lol.  Whatever,  the moral of the story is life is pretty normal, nothing terribly new to update anybody on.  Maybe later

Alright, time for an update I suppose.  Not much going on in my world...working a lot. I did that move to the hardware department at Home Depot and I like it a lot more, plus it came with a nice raise.  Other than working what feels like way too much sometimes, I really haven't done much with my summer so far.  Stirling and I did paint our bedrooms a really nice blue, but we haven't gotten around to the rest of the house yet.  I still want to have a summertime party out here, though I haven't figured out when to do it yet, so I'll let people know when I figure things out.

One thing that has been planned in a camping trip the weekend of July 20th-22nd, I'm thinking Frontenac State Park again because I thoroughly enjoyed that one last time. So if anyone is interested just let me know, I haven't checked prices yet, but I'll get around to that soon.

Stirling and I are still doing very well except that we don't get to see each other very much with my work schedule and then him being gone every weekend and some extra days working at home.  We did get to go to the drive-in last night, and that was a lot of fun.We saw the new Fantastic 4 and Oceans 13 which is a great movie. We could have stuck around for 300 but I had to work and stuff so we just went home early.  Luckily they let us bring Toast and they even keep dog treats where we pay, so now Toast loves going to the drive-in just as much as we do.  We just whip up a bed for him in the back seat and he's set for the night!

Well, that about sums it up I think.  I would love to get together and see some more people this summer on my days off (which are far and few between), but Stirling and I are planning on going to the Taste of Minnesota on either July 1st or 2nd if anyone else will be around.  Plus I would really like to get out to the Acme Comedy Club for free open mic night and spend a day at Valley Fair!!  Hope everyone's summers are going alright

Apparently at least one person is still interested in what I've been up to recently.  Unfortunately the answer is...not a whole lot.  I guess two mildly cool things are happening.  It looks like I will finally get to stop being a stupid cashier and start working in the hardware department of Home Depot.  At least I can stop asking people if they'd like to put this on their Home Depot card today .  The other exciting thing is that unless I completely manage to fail out of school I will be graduating this coming December.  Not sure of the date of course, but sometime round then.
This Thursday is the last wind ensemble concert of the year, too bad I don't really like the music. It will probably be enjoyable for people to listen to, but...meh, I dunno, not that great I suppose.  The highlight will be that we are playing Pacific Fanfare by Frank Tichelli.  Also on Thursday will be the Wind Ensemble Bake Sale, which is pretty much run by yours truly most the day.  For some odd reason I actually take off work to participate in these things.  School is almost done for the semester and I can hardly contain my joy for the thought of not having to worry about studying and homework for a few months.
Lets see...summer plans...working a lot for now.  Definitely planning on having a summer party sometime in May, and hopefully squeezing a camping trip in before people run away to different states and countries.  If anyone has any particular time constrictions let me know so I can schedule around them hopefully!  Hope everyone else is having an enjoyable time wrapping up the school year, and perhaps I will hear from people and get to be social soon!
